Jacob R. Dunn

Managing Funeral Director/Embalmer

Jacob was born and raised in Aurora, where he attended Aurora Central Catholic High School, graduating in 2015 with honors. He later attended the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science where he graduated Cum Laude in December of 2018. During his time in school, he was awarded the James C. Lyerly Memorial Award for outstanding business and management skills and the Arthur J. Russler Memorial Award for the highest competency in clinical embalming theory. Jacob has been a licensed crematory operator since 2013. Jacob served his internship starting in 2019 and is now a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

William F. Dunn

President

William F. Dunn is a graduate of Ottawa Township High School and a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science. William is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and a Certified Cremationist. He is a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, National Funeral Directors Association, Illinois Funeral Directors Association and the Cremation Association of North America. He and his wife Pat have lived in Oswego since Bill was honorably discharged from the U S Army in 1968. He enjoys traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Brianna M. Kotowski

Funeral Director/Embalmer Intern

Brianna Kotowski is a Funeral Director Intern at Ottawa Funeral Home and a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, where she completed her education in September 2025. She finds great fulfillment in her work and is honored to care for families during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Born and raised in Morris, Illinois, Brianna values strong family ties and close-knit communities. She enjoys serving the Ottawa community and takes pride in supporting local families with compassion and understanding. She is also a proud mother of two—a son and a daughter—who inspire her every day.

Renee Jeffery

Funeral Director/Embalmer Intern

Renee Jeffery is an intern at Ottawa Funeral Home and a graduate of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, where she was a member of Pi Sigma Eta. She finds it truly rewarding to help families design services that capture the unique personality and life of their loved one. No two services are ever the same, and Renee values being part of that individualized, meaningful process.

Renee has a love for flowers, a good cup of coffee, and enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking or just being in nature to recharge.

Mark J. Janusz

Funeral Director Assistant

Mark is dedicated to serving the people of his community with dignity and compassion. A native of Lockport, he served the people of Will and Cook County for many years in law enforcement, emergency services, as well as in funeral service. He and his wife, Pam, reside in Ottawa and are members of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Mark is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.
