In light of recent events, we have decided to modify our practices here at Ottawa Funeral Home. It is very important to us that we keep everyone, families and employees, safe and healthy in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The President and CDC recommend social gatherings, including funerals, graveside services, and family memorials, with a potential of 10 or more attendees to be cancelled or postponed until at least after March 31st. This means each and every funeral or memorial service going forward will be either private (under 10 family members) or postponed for the foreseeable future. We will be posting up-to-date service information for our families on our website, ottawafuneralhome.com.
Every family member we assist is part of our family at Ottawa Funeral Home, and we understand the importance of grieving. Grief does not stop in the midst of a pandemic, and we will work with each and every family through their grieving process. Those individuals in our care will remain in the safe and caring hands of the funeral home during this time.
It takes an entire community to come together at a time like this. Reach out to your loved ones and friends during their time of loss, and remember you are not alone.
As more information becomes available, we will update our website and Facebook page. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns please call the Ottawa Funeral Home at 815-433-0300.
Sincerely, Nelson and Karen Nussbaum
