William Johnson Obituary

William "Bill" Johnson, 72, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Tuesday June 7, 2022 at his home.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, June 18, 2022, CrossBridge Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Sherry Stevens officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded to Ottawa Funeral Home.

Bill was born August 26, 1949, in Aurora, IL, to James and Florence Johnson. He married Mary May on May 31, 1969 in Aurora, Il.

Bill had a passion for working on cars, he even owned and operated a paint and body shop. He owned JJs restaurant in LaSalle and Peru where he shared his love of cars by hosting car shows.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Johnson; his daughters, Lora Cole and Angela Wiseledar Johnson; his son, Mathew Johnson; eighteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and one sister.

William was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul.
