Obituary

Viola Elizabeth Dillon (nee Mann), 103, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 26, 2023.

Private family services will be held with burial in Riverview Cemetery.

Viola was born January 10, 1920, in Campbellsville, KY, to Richard and Nettie (Williams) Mann. She married Thomas Dillon on March 14, 1938 in Marseilles. He passed away February 19, 1992. 

She had been a member of the Marseilles Grade School PTA, Our Saviors Lutheran Church, and the First Federal Fun Timers. She traveled with the Fun timers regularly but loved her trips to Florida with her daughter. She enjoyed quilting and playing bingo and played euchre every Saturday at Heritage Woods. 

She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Bill) Johnson of Seneca and Janet (Bob) Stencel of Ottawa; her seven grandchildren, Tracy (Dan) Rechtin, Eric (Rhonda) Dillon, Julie (Joel Schneider) Wicks, Kathy (Nick) Thompson, Todd (Angela Walkowski) Johnson, Mike (Dana) Johnson, and Rick Stencel; 16 great grandchildren; and 20 great great grandchildren, 

Viola was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her children, David Dillon, Thomas Dillon Jr., and Patricia Rivett; a great great grandchild; and her six siblings.
