Todd R. Priesman, 60, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021.
Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites.
Todd was born February 24, 1960 in Sandwich to Russell and Alyce “Wee Wee” (Traversino) Priesman. He married Joyce Laffoon on October 18, 1980 in Rolling Hills, California.
Todd was a member of the United States Navy, serving in the Ordinance Division from 1978-1981. He worked for Plano Molding for 17 years and was employed at U.S. Silica for the past 15 years. He enjoyed bird watching, wood working, and crossword puzzles. Todd had a green thumb and loved crime TV and Western movies. He had old-school family values and was a big guy with a big heart.
Todd’s true joy in life was spending time with his family. He loved spending his days with his best friend and wife Joyce, boating with his daughter Danielle and her family, hunting and fishing with his son Ty, and exploring St. Louis with his daughter Coty. He cherished his time spoiling his five granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Joyce; three children, Danielle (Brandon) Meredith of Bunnlevel, NC, Ty (Karen Gollnitz) Priesman of Lake Wisconsin, WI, and Coty (Jeffrey) Duerst of St. Louis, MO; five granddaughters, Kylie and Kamryn Meredith, Sophia Duerst, Addison and Hailey Bell; brother, Chad Priesman; and sister, Tracy Rady.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vince Priesman.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
