Theresa A. (Leone) Masinelli, 88, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Ottawa Pavilion.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am, Friday, October 22 at St. Patrick's Church, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 am, Friday at Ottawa Funeral Home, with the Rosary said at 10 am, with the Catholic Daughters of America. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.
Theresa was born November 4, 1932, in Ottawa to Vito and Anna (Verona) Leone. She married John Masinelli on June 25, 1955 at St. Columba Church; they were married for 25 years before his passing on December 18, 1980.
Theresa was a hairdresser and past state president of the Cosmetology and Hairdresser's Association. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Catholic Daughters of the America's, president of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, and a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, providing wigs for cancer patients.
She is survived by her son, Vito (Melanie) Masinelli of Everett, WA; her daughter-in-law, Royceanne Masinelli; four grandsons, Dominic, John (Amanda), Peter Jr., and Anthony Masinelli; her sister and brother-in-law, Frances (Philip) Minneci; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; son, Peter; and daughter, Annamaria; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Josephine (Philip) Minneci and Mary Anne (Philip P.) Minneci; and nephew, Philip M. Minneci.
