Susan Carrier

Susan Carrier, 66, of Mark, IL, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. 

Susan was born November 24, 1956, in Ottawa, IL, to Claude and Alberta (Crisman) Odum. She married John Carrier on June 9, 2000 in Marseilles, IL. 

Susan enjoyed sewing, doing genealogy research, and baking her renowned sugar cookies. She loved her family. She would frequently travel to visit her children when they were in the military. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than life itself. There was nothing she wouldn't do for them. She was so outgoing that she never met a stranger. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

She is survived by her husband, John Carrier; her children Jeremy Green, Jessica Paulson, Justin (Katie) Carrier, and Jacob Cheyenne Carrier; her grandchildren, Catherine List, Stephanie Green, Claudia, Caroline and Elizabeth Paulson, Sophia, Landon, Ellie, Max, Alexander, and Dean Carrier, and one on the way; her great grandchildren, Hazel and Maddie List and Finnick Green; her siblings, Martie (Vickie) Odum, Mary (Steve) Porter, Cathy (John) Phelean, David (Angie) Odum; as well as her brother in law, Leroy Orsburn. 

Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Connie Orsburn; and her brother, Claude Lee "Hoss" Odum Jr.
