Obituary

Stephen “Dougie” Cook passed away peacefully on June 10 th , 2022, at Morristown Hospital. He was born on April 13 th , 1958, in Ottawa, IL.

Steve was an avid fisherman and loved NASCAR. He was a member of Christ the King Church in Dover, NJ and he worked at the Market Street Mission Thrift Store in Morristown, NJ as the Retail Director for 19
years.

He will be dearly missed by his church and Mission family, and he will be remembered for the way he served others and loved the Lord.

He is survived by his son Matthew Cook of CA; his sister DeeAnne Bressler (Christofer Bressler) of MI; his sister Laurie Stern of CA; his three nephews, Joseph A. Simonet III of ME, Christofer Bressler of MI, and Cambron Bressler of MI; his two nieces, Maryann Forgione (Wagner) of NJ and Michelle Forgione of NJ; and his best friends Gregory Cole and Matthew Cole of NJ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve Cook Jr. and Elizabeth Barton Cook.

The service will be held at Par-Troy Funeral Home on Thursday, June 16 th from 5-7pm. Graveside services 2:00 pm on Tuesday June 21, 2022 at St. Columba Cemetery in Ottawa, IL.
