Soledad (Granados) Gutierrez

Soledad Gutierrez, 61, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Private family services will be held. Public visitation will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Thursday, November 5 at St. Columba Church; due to CDC and state guidelines, masks and social distancing is mandatory. She will be buried at St. Columba Cemetery. 

Soledad was born July 24, 1959 in Valencianita Irapuato, Mexico to J. Jesus and Rosa (Esquivel) Granados. She married Juan Gutierrez, Sr. on December 11, 1975; he passed away February 20, 2001. 

Soledad worked for Seattle Suttons Healthy Eating. She was a member of St. Columba Church. She loved to garden, craft and spend time with family. She was very devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved to host family holidays and have Sunday dinners at her home.

She is survived by all her children, Raul Gutierrez, Juan Gutierrez Jr. (Rachel Gutierrez), Paola Baker, Sandra Bautista (Hugo Bautista), Christina Gutierrez; nine grandkids, Brandon Gutierrez, Ashlyn Gutierrez, Payton Gutierrez, Mason Gutierrez, Jordan Gutierrez, Albert Baker III, Logan Baker, Emily Bautista and Elyssa Bautista. She is also survived by her siblings, Mario, Enrique, Alfredo, Ernesto and her twin sister, Irma Granados.

She was preceded in death by her husband Juan Gutierrez, Sr.; her father, Jesus Granados; and her mother, Rosa Granados.

Pallbearers will be Raul Gutierrez, Juan Gutierrez, Jordan Gutierrez, Albert Baker III, Logan Baker and Payton Gutierrez.
