Scott Ritchie

Scott Ritchie, 58, of  Morris, formerly of Seneca and Ottawa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 12 at 2:00 pm at the Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Duane Kauffman officiating. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Scott was born April 16, 1963, in Ottawa, to Frank and Frances (McCombs) Ritchie. 

Scott had recently retired from the State of Illinois as a parole officer. He previously worked as a correctional officer at Statesville Prison. He was an avid Bears fan and absolutely loved riding his Harley. He took several trips to Sturgis with many members of his extended Harley family and enjoyed traveling all over the US.

He is survived by his two brothers, Gregg (Lisa) and Gary (Kathy) Ritchie;  his four sisters,  Corinna, Denise, Nicole Ritchie, and Teresa Grieves; 6 nieces, 6 nephews and so many friends he considered family.  

Scott was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jeffrey Ritchie.
