Sandra Kay McConnaughhay, 78, of Ottawa passed away Saturday, January 30, 2021 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Private family services will be held. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
Sandra was born December 9, 1942, in Mt. Vernon, IL to George "Dewey" and Alice "Bernice" (Trammell) Karch. She worked as an RN for St. Mary's Hospital in Streator for over 20 years, before her retirement.
She is survived by her son, Mark (MaryAnn) Roberts; her daughter, Tammy (George) Zellers; two grandchildren, Joshua (Lisa) Smith and Lindsey (Ryan Hughes) Loughe; two great-grandchildren, Donovan Smith and Gwendolyn Eisert; four step-grandchildren, Lindsey (Chris) Hunt, Brian (Melissa) Zellers who was a friend and neighbor before becoming her grandchild, Bobby (Marisa) Zellers, and Brad (Bari Gage) Zellers; and 11 step-great-grandchildren, Landon, Connor, Emery, Addy, Aubree, Brayzen, Joey, Layla, Kaibrin, Gavin, and Griffin; three sisters, Donna Huston, Barbara (Jim) Maxham, and Jovita (Loyd) Kinkead; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert Karch; brother-in-law, Roger Huston; and son-in-law, Theron Loughe.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be donated to OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
