Rhitta Ann Bell, 76, of Ottawa passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at her home, surrounded by loved ones.

Rhitta's family will be honoring her wishes that there be no funeral services. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites.

Rhitta was born February 11, 1945, in Ottawa to Otis and Dorothy (Hellman) Davis. She married Kenneth Bell on October 9, 1961 in Streator. Rhitta always loved a good book. She was a loving grandmother, and she adored spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Teena (Ted) Janke of Marseilles, Brenda Barnett of Ottawa, and Sarah (Evan) Bernard of Ottawa; two sons, Kenneth (Rhonda) Bell, Jr. and Robert (Christine) Bell of Ottawa; six grandchildren, Sarah, Robert, Brandon, and Michael Bell, Andrew (Heather) Janke, and David Barnett, Jr.; and her seven great-grandchildren, Paige and Jacob Janke, Lilly, Tyller, Blake, Trevor, and Claire Bell.

Rhitta was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Kenneth; one daughter, Kim Ann Bell; her son, Kurtis Andrew Bell; three grandchildren, Jason Barnett, Amanda Lane, and John Tolle; two sisters, Barbara Hall and Patricia Smith; and her brother, Thomas Munson.
