Paul "Jack" Eisert Jr.

Paul "Jack" Eisert Jr., 85, of Ottawa, IL, passed away Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Tuesday, July 11, at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will follow at 12:00pm noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. 

Paul was born July 26, 1937, in Ottawa, IL, to Paul and Beulah (Johnson) Eisert. He married Victoria Korstick on January 18, 1958 in Streator, IL. 

He worked for 30 years at Libby Owens and after retirement worked for Esmund Excavating for many years. Family was most important to him. He never missed an opportunity to be with them. He loved to spend time outdoors, especially fishing with his sons and grandsons. He especially had a passion for guns and learning as much as he could about them. 

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Victoria Eisert; his children, Paul "PJ' (Jan) Eisert of Luther, OK, Scott Eisert, John Eisert, Jeanne (John) Cook, and Lee Ann Eisert all of Ottawa; his grandchildren, John (Susan) Cook, Joe (Ashley) Cook, and Shannon Eisert; his great grandchildren, Carson Keylard, Tucker Keylard, Nora Cook, and Henry Cook; and his brother, Ron (Michele) Eisert. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Evelyn Conrad and Carolyn Kolotka.

Pallbearers will be Paul Eisert, Scott Eisert, John Eisert, John Cook, John Cook Jr., and Joe Cook.

Memorials may be directed to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
