Mark was a union pipefitter with Local 597. He enjoyed riding his Harley, watching movies, listening to heavy metal music, having a laugh and drinks with friends and spending time in his garage. Activities he loved doing with his daughter Sydney include riding bicycles, going to amusement parks, watching scary movies, eating at Portillo's and baking chocolate chip cookies. The two of them spent many happy times together.

Everyone who knew and loved Mark will remember and miss his warm heart, quick smile and especially his infectious laugh. It made everyone smile and laugh along with him. He will be missed tremendously.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Hendrix, Jeff Porro, BJ Grabow, Brandon Thompson, Michael Porro, Zachary Porro, and Aiden Connor.

Please consider writing a happy or funny memory of Mark to give to his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Ronald and Melissa Link to help further Sydney's education. They can be sent to the family in care of the Ottawa Funeral Home.

A private ceremony will be held with mandatory masking and social distancing due to the pandemic. Pastor Colleen Lawrence, First Congregational Church of Marseilles, will be officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
