Margaret Lenac, 79, of Ottawa, Illinois, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013, at St. Columba Church, with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Margaret was born March 24, 1934, in Serena, Illinois, to Leo and Florence (Grandadam) Nugent. She married Lawrence A. "Lupe" Lenac on September 6, 1958, at St. John's Catholic Church in Somonauk. He died April 15, 2011. She was a member of St. Columba Church and Women of the Moose. She loved playing bingo, cards and was a Cubs fan. She enjoyed watching most Chicago sports. She is survived by four sons, Paul of Ottawa, Dennis (Kim) of Dayton, Tom of Ottawa, and Tim (Emily) of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Amy (Brian) Hughes, Joshua Lenac, Miranda (Pete Kiczula) Lenac, Michelle Lenac, Ethan Lenac, and Anthony LaGioia; three great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brandon, and Brenna Hughes; two brothers, Edward (Florence) Nugent of Waterman and Vincent Nugent of Aurora; nephews, Steve Nugent, Dave Nugent, Terry Bermes, and Joe Bermes; and a niece, Diane (Nugent) Dick. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter-in-law, Connie Lenac; and two sisters, Dolores Bermes and her twin, Marilyn Nugent. Pallbearers will be Joshua Lenac, Anthony LaGioia, David Nugent, Terry Bermes, Joe Bermes. Honorary Pallbearer will be Sonny Preci. Memorials may be directed to the St. Columba Building Fund.
