Louis Tamborini, 81 of Ottawa Illinois passed away Wednesday, at his home in Ottawa, surrounded by his family.
Louis was survived by his wife Charlene, his children Chris (Jill) Tamborini, Victoria (Mark) Sauvageau, and Susan (Douglas) Otto; along with 4 grandchildren Nicholas Tamborini, Jessica (Sauvageau) Miller, Danielle (Sauvageau) Lastra, and Benjamin Otto; and 5 great grandchildren Jayston, Jasmine, Jackson, June Miller and Ahsoka Lastra. He is predeceased by his Mother Angie, Father Louie, his Brother Dale, and his Grandson Nolan Otto, along with two of his favorite dog companions Duke, and Luke.
Louis grew up and lived in Ottawa his entire life and raised three kids there with his wife of more than 60 years Charlene. He held many jobs over the years, but the last 20 years of his work life were spent as a custodian at Ottawa Twp. High School. He really enjoyed his time there and the relationships he established. I know he considered all his co-workers his friends. When he retired at age 59 he and Charlene purchased a home in Largo Florida, where they spent the last 20 years going down there and enjoying the warm Florida weather. He had many hobbies over the years such as, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. What he enjoyed most was just being with friends, family, and the many dog companions he had over the years.
Visitation will be Monday, August 9, at 10:00 at St. Francis of Assisi Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. His burial will be at Ottawa Avenue Cemetery directly after the service.
