Lora J. (Bray) Halm

Lora Jean (Bray) Halm, of La Salle, passed into the loving arms of our Lord at the age of 57 years old on December 23, 2020. 

Private family will be held at the Ottawa Lighthouse Church. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.

Lora was born February 15, 1963, in Ottawa to Frank P. and Marie F. (Hott) Bray, Sr. She attended Deer Park Grade School, LaSalle Grade School, and Ottawa Township High School. She then spent time working as a CNA. Lora raised three children; a son, a daughter, and a very special niece. She collected owls and dream catchers, loved angels, and most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her son, Jose "Tony" Acevedo; daughter, Freida (Doug) Etscheid; and her very special niece, Mary Bray. She was also survived by her grandchildren, Liam, Lilliana, Brady, and Kameryn Acevedo, Gemma Etscheid, and Aleeya Lopez; sisters, Linda Bray Granados, Glenda Bray Hernandez, Karla Bray Higgins, and Dana Bray; brothers, Frank Bray, Jr. and Charles Bray; and many nieces and nephews. 

Lora was preceded in death by her loving parents, sister, Loretta Bray Tunget; her paternal grandparents, Charles H.C. and Linda C. Bray; and maternal grandparents Loretta and Peter Page and Glenn Hott.

Lora loved to save her change and give it to the children in the family. So, if you're ever walking along and see a quarter on the ground, pick it up and know it's a message of her love.
