Lawrence A. "Lupe" Lenac, 81, of Ottawa died April 15, 2011 at Ottawa Regional Hospital and Healthcare. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rosary at 4:00. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with Military Services. Lawrence was born November 16, 1929 in Ottawa, Illinois to Joseph and Katherine ( Kozarich ) Lenac. He married Margaret M. Nugent September 6, 1958 at St. John's Catholic Church in Somonauk, Illinois. He worked for LOF for 39 years. He was a member of St. Columba Church, The Moose Lodge, and Glassworkers Local 19.He served in the US Army in 1951 He is survived by his wife, Margaret; four sons, Paul of Ottawa, Dennis (Kim) of Dayton, Tom of Ottawa, and Tim (Emily) of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Amy Hughes, Joshua, Miranda, Anthony LaGioia, Michelle, and Ethan; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Amelia (Richard) Gross of Walla Walla, WA, and Helen Gorepesek of Wenona; one brother, Joseph (Jeanne) Lenac of Peoria. He is preceded in death by four sisters; three brothers; and a daughter in law, Connie Lenac. Pallbearers will be Brian Hughes, Joshua Lenac, Anthony LaGioia, David Nugent, Terry Bermes, and Sonny Preci Memorial may be directed to the American Heart Association.
