Joann Stubblefield Obituary

Mary Joann Stubblefield (Timmons), age 65 of Marseilles, IL died unexpectedly on January 29, 2021 in Morris, IL.

Joann was born on December 29, 1955, in Ottawa, IL to Alvin Timmons and Eleanor Timmons (Coss). She grew up in Seneca, IL, and graduated from Seneca High School in 1973. She married Richard Stubblefield, her high school sweetheart, on September 1, 1972. She retired from Seneca Grade School. Richard and Joann welcomed two children into the world, Rick Stubblefield and Angie Lowe (Stubblefield) who remember their mother as a loving woman who enjoyed life and loved her family more than anything in the world.

Joann was an accomplished crafter and painter. She was a generous and caring individual who loved sewing and playing cards, and who was passionate about spending time with her family. She loved camping, fishing, and visiting her Irish twin Lori’s farm in Iowa. Joann loved her dogs and was a friend to all creatures. She was known affectionately as the Emoji Queen, and never missed an opportunity to spend time with her grandkids. She was loved by all who knew her.

Joann is survived by her husband Richard Stubblefield; children Angie Lowe (Stubblefield) (Brian) and Rick Stubblefield (Alayna); sisters Lareene Cousins (Timmons) (John), Teresa McNulty (Timmons) (Jeffrey), Nancy Tondini (Timmons) (Paul Louis), Jean Timmons, and Mary Timmons; grandchildren Ryan Rexroat, Jake Stubblefield, Brant Lowe, Brady Lowe, and Kylie Stubblefield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren were the most important thing in the world to her. She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin Timmons and Eleanor (Timmons) O’Brien; and her parents-in-law Bob and Eleanor Stubblefield.

A funeral is scheduled for Wednesday February 3, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca, IL. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joann’s life. Please wear a mask.
