Jeffrey Scott Angell (Jeff), 60, of Ottawa, Illinois, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, August 21, 2021.
On September 25, 1960, Jeff was born to Gerald and Theresa (Mychino) Angell of Naplate, Illinois. He graduated from Marquette High School in 1978. Jeff worked at Bill Walsh in Ottawa, Illinois, as a parts man for many years.
Jeff is survived by his mother, Theresa Angell, of Naplate; his only daughter, Ashley (Jason) Brimeyer of Epworth, Iowa; and his three beautiful grandchildren, Cash, Genevieve, and Beau Brimeyer. Survivors also include his brother, Steven (Mary) Angell, of Naplate and his brother, Timothy (Kelly) Angell, of Ottertail, Minnesota; his nieces, Stevi (Travis) Pointer and Molly Angell; and nephews Ryan and Joey Angell.
Jeff had an intense love for great music, the Minnesota Vikings, a cold beer, and his golf clubs. He had a quirky sense of humor and would often prank his fellow golfers by throwing out marshmallows, making the other golfers think they were golf balls. Jeff’s past joys included fishing in bass tournaments, where he met many big named fishermen, such as Hank Parker, Jr. and Jimmy Houston. He was an avid thrifter and would often come home with very eccentric pieces that would bring a smile to your face. One of his most cherished finds was his beloved lemon lamp.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Angell and his grandparents, Stephen and Helen Mychino and Edwin and Delores Angell.
Per Jeff’s wishes, he will be cremated, and a memorial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family, and a tree will be planted in his memory.
Following his wishes, there will not be a funeral service. However, well-wishers are encouraged to write a farewell note on a cold brewski and drink it in his honor. Remember to live life to the fullest and never take tomorrow for granted.
