Helen G. (Sachweh) Kline

Helen Gertrude Kline, 98, died surrounded by her family on February 1, 2021. Helen was born to William and Lillian Sachweh on April 9, 1922, in Chicago. She married the love of her life, Harry Kline, at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Chicago. They were married for 65 years until his death in 2007.

Helen loved to talk about her experiences as a young woman such as dancing with Harry at lunch time at their high school and going to the Aargon Ball Room with Harry to hear the big bands. She loved to sing funny old songs to entertain her grandchildren and loved cooking holiday meals. To her family, she was a wonderful grandmother and mother-in-law. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother, and her husband. Helen is survived by her son, William (Karen) Kline of Ottawa; her daughter, Christine (John) Limbrunner of North Carolina; and her grandchildren, Heidi (Hal) Shute, Luke (Emily) Limbrunner, Emily (John) Bucarich, and Stephen (Sheila Cody) Kline. Helen also has three great-grandchildren, Hallie, Harrison, and Jane. 

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.

Because of COVID-19, services will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be at Mary Hill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
