Emily Mosbach Obituary

Emily Jane Piercy Mosbach, 33, of Rockford, passed away Monday, September 20, 2021.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2 at the Ottawa Funeral Home at 12:00 noon, with Pastor Jennifer Amy-Dressler officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home prior to the service.

Emily was born November 4, 1987, in Peoria, IL, to Anne Cecily (Clay) Piercy.

Emily was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School. She worked at Collins Aerospace in Rockford for many years and was an avid Chicago Bulls fan. She was an active member of the Recovery and Addiction Community and her passion and kindness touched all that met her.

She is survived by her sister, Molly (Ed) Dougherty; her niece, Maddie Dougherty; her nephew, Liam Dougherty; her best friend, Jeff Lesniak; her second parents, Bill and Ginny Deuerling; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Emily now joins her mother in heaven, Anne Piercy.
