Duane "Dewey" Bastian

Duane Eugene Bastian (Dewey) passed away July 11, 2021, at Ottawa Pavilion in Ottawa, IL.

A memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 24, at 11:00 am at Crossbridge Community Church, visitation 10:00 to 11:00 before services. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation rites.

He is survived by his daughter Melissa Zeman (Jason) and granddaughter Alexis Dant of Plymouth, Minnesota, his son Gerald, Gerald’s fiancé Claudia Gallup and her children Teresa and Tommy Gallup of Granville, IL, grandsons Trenton Blair (Madison) of Rockford, IL, Michael Rehor of Ottawa, IL, Ryan Mcstoots of Streator, IL, 3 great grandchildren Hope Blair, Jaxson Blair and Antonio Mcstoots.

He is also survived by 3 brothers Larry Bastian (Jeannie) of Marseilles, IL, Robert (Bob) Bastian of Ottawa, IL, Roger Bastian (Ellen) of Olney, IL, 3 sisters Lois Wawerski, of Greeneville, TN, Judy Ortiz of Ottawa, IL, Diana Gunderson (Knute) of Plainfield, IL, many loving nieces and nephews.

Duane was preceded in death by his parents Ralph R. Bastian and Mae L. (Severson) Bastian, 2 brothers Ralph M (Sonny) Bastian and Gary A Bastian.
