Obituary
Donna Hanson, 69, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully, on Friday, April 7, 2023 at her home after a courageous 30 year battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 6, at 11:00 am, at Praise Center Church in Ottawa.
Donna was born November 12, 1953, in Gary, IN, to Jack and Joyce (Best) Rose. She married Ronald Hanson on August 28, 1976 at Calvary Temple in Naperville.
Donna worked for 25 years as a deputy clerk for the LaSalle County Circuit Clerk's office.She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She enjoyed reading, and she loved to travel in her younger years. She was very strong in her faith, and was actively involved at Praise Center Church.
Donna has touched many people's lives with her huge heart and caring demeanor. She has always stayed positive and strong throughout her battle with cancer. Her inspiration to keep fighting was her family. She loved watching her grandchildren grow up. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronald Hanson; her children, Michael (Stacy) Hanson and Julie (Thomas) Saltzman; her grandchildren, Moses Hanson, Christian Bee, Kaylin Ferguson, and Reimy Wold; her mother, Joyce Rose; and her siblings, Sherry Reyes and Pam Miller. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Rose.
