Obituary
Donna Corso, 76, of Elgin, formerly of Ottawa, Oak Park, and Westmont, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Aperion Care in Elgin.
Private Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, April 28, at St. Columba Church. Burial will follow in St. Columba Cemetery. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.
Donna was born February 26, 1947, in Ottawa, IL, to Lindo and Catherine (Brusnighan) Corso.
Donna was a graduate of Ottawa High School. After she graduated, she worked at Friendship House, in Ottawa, for many years, where she made many life long friends. She lived with her sister, Cathie, in Oak Park and then Westmont before moving to Elgin. She was extremely social and was always helping others. She enjoyed crocheting, bird watching, playing bingo, going to thrift stores, and listening to music, especially show tunes and ballroom music.
She is survived by her siblings, Louise Roach, Linda Corso-Busse, and Marty (Kathy) Corso; and was a loving and proud aunt to John, Jane, Matt, Kevin, Kim, Katie, Cammy, and Carly.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Cathie and Mary Corso; and her brothers-in-law, Tom Roach and Ed Busse.
Memorials may be directed to Friendship House in Ottawa.
