Dianne "Rose" Alcorn, 74, of Ottawa passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites.
Rose was born September 11, 1947, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania to Theresa and Gilbert Wagner. She was adopted and raised by Daniel and Mary Dominick. Rose married Dean Alcorn on March 12, 1980 in Ottawa, and they have spent 45 years together.
Rose was a free-spirited hippie who loved to have her friends and family over for parties. She was a proud Italian woman, and she loved to show off her cooking and baking skills for anyone who was hungry or not. If you knew Rose, you knew you weren't leaving unless you ate something.
She is survived by her husband, Dean; four children, Michelle Ritchie of Ottawa; D'Andra "Dee-Dee" Ritchie of Bloomington, Robby Holley of California, and Danielle (Craig) Lock of Naplate; seven grandchildren, Kyleigh, Jesse, Joey, Chad, Katie, Alicia, and Brandan; her great-grandson, Liam, and another great-grandchild on the way; her sister, Caroline Fierro; her niece, Crystal and her family- Rebecca, Adam, and Penny; and her favorite pup, Lola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Tessie; and her brother, Garey.
Memorials may be directed to Pet Project or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
