Charmaine Kelley Obituary

Charmaine Kelley passed peacefully with her family by her side on July 5.

She was born on October 25, 1940 to George and Florence (Meany) Harden of Ottawa.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Tom; daughter Patty (Dave) Read; brothers, Don (Sherry) Harden, George (Gaylene) Harden, Bob (Ronna) Harden, Harvey (Patti) Harden; sisters, Bogie (John) Smothers, Jeannie (Larry) Bastian; grandchildren, Josh Kelley, Niki (Matt) Claypool, Seth (Brianne) Read, Jared (Megan) Read, Grant (Vanessa) Read and Savanah (Phil) Jones. She has 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Charmaine was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Cindy Nobel and Denise Kelley, brothers, Russel (Mona) Harden, Lyle Harden, Dennis (Cindy) Harden, and sister, Carol Harmon.

She retired from OSF in Ottawa in 2019. Her favorite things were lunch in Stratton Park with her sister, binge watching TLC, princess Diana and filling her cookie jar for surprise visits from all the littles in her life.

A memorial service will be held on Friday July 9, 2021 at The Village Christian Church 104 N Main St, Seneca, IL. at 4:00pm with Sarah O’Sullivan officiating.
