Bart was born at Ryburn King Hospital in Ottawa on October 18, 1973 to Peter and Linda (Maccono) Kirkman. Bart was a graduate of Ottawa High School. He married Jennifer Kirkpatrick, and together they had two children, Jordan and Logan. Bart worked as a manager at Minit Mart in Morris. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed a good game of golf. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox. Most importantly, Bart loved spending time with his family. He always looked forward to watching Jordan's dance recitals and plays; and he loved watching Logan at his soccer matches and taekwondo class.
He is survived by his parents, Pete and Linda; his former wife, Jen; his children, Jordan and Logan Kirkman; his brother, Thomas (Lynda) Kirkman; his nephews, Drew and Dean Kirkman; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gordon (Helen) Kirkman; and his maternal grandparents, Jim (Laurie) Maccono.
