Wilson E. Crawford Jr., 79, of Streator, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral Ceremony will be on Friday, August 26 at 1:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Duane Kauffman officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ottawa Avenue Cemetery with Military Honors.
Wilson was born October 21, 1942, in Streator, IL to Wilson and Dorothy (Slager) Crawford Sr. He married Carol Smith on July 13, 1993 in Ottawa.
Wilson proudly served in the US Army as a Mechanic. When he returned, he went to work at LOF/Pilkington where he met Carol. He was a member of the Streator American legion and was an avid coin collector, always on the lookout for a wheat penny. He loved to garden. Every year he planted his tomatoes and always enjoyed his harvests. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa and will be greatly missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol; his daughter, Rachel (Kevin) Corbly; his step son, Jeffery Beldon; his grandchildren, Maddie (Alex) Reinmann, Macy and Mitchell McMahan, and Tanner, Tyler, Madison, and Chloe Beldon; his great granddaughter, Amelia Beldon; as well as his sister, Sandra (Mike) Roach.
Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, his stepdaughter, Amy Marie Beldon; and his siblings, Robert Dale Crawford, June Wildhaber, Rosann Durbin, and Christine Crawford.
