Willis G. "Willie" Fessler

Willis G. "Willie" Fessler, 72, of Marseilles, Illinois, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013, at Ottawa Pavilion. Funeral Service for Willie will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Brick officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park, with Military Services Willie was born April 28, 1940, in Ottawa, Illinois, to Raymond and Retta (Hitchens) Fessler. He married Ronna Lynn Frye on April 19, 1969, at the United Methodist Church in Ottawa. He retired in 2001 after 31 years from L.O.F. He was a member of the American Legion Post #33. He loved drag racing, car shows, photography, and his pets Ellie Mae and Buddy. He is survived by his wife, Ronna; one son, Jim (Sue Ferguson) Fessler; and one sister, Joyce Learned. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Rod Learned, Scott Lawry, Shawn Lawry, Johnnie DeClue, Brett Frye, and Trevor Alonzo. Honorary pallbearer will be Chris Frye. Memorials may be directed to the family.
