Willis Farrell

OTTAWA -- Willis E. Farrell, 82, of Ottawa, died Friday, Nov. 2, at Community Hospital of Ottawa. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 4 p.m. Mr. Farrell was born June 23, 1925, in Seneca, to Michael F. and Josie O. (Cover) Farrell. He married Marjorie Locke on March 17, 1947, at St. Patrick's Church in Ransom. He retired from Libby-Owens-Ford Glass Company and was a member of St. Patrick's Church. He is survived by his wife; five sons, Michael (Camilla) of Grand Ridge, Terry (Peg) and Tim (Kathleen), both of Ottawa, Richard (Connie) of Celebration, Fla., and Lt. Col. William (Rhonda) of Langley, Va.; 12 grandchildren, Michael Jr., Joseph, James, Ryan, Dan, Trevor, Tracy, Brian, Jennifer, Melanie and Rachel Farrell and Meagan Daoust; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Curran and Alice Cox, both of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by three brothers Francis, James and William; and one sister, Hazel Serby. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
