William B. Walters

William B. Walters, 77, of Ottawa passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.

William was entrusted to the care of the Ottawa Funeral Home and Crematory, He will be buried in Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso, Indiana.

William was born July 27, 1938 in Independence, Kansas to Frank and Pauline (Smith) Walters. Previously he worked as a surveyor at Sexton and Renwick. He retired from GE Plastics as a batch man in the mixing department. He was a 10 year volunteer at Ottawa Fire Department and had volunteered at the Ottawa Regional Hospital.

He is survived by three children, William T. ( Deb) Walters, Douglas Walters, and Wendy (Doug) Workman; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his step-father, Harold Lindsay.

In lieu of memorials donations may be directed to a charity of choice in Bill's name.
