William J. Kummer, Sr.

William J. Kummer, Sr., 76, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at his home, with his family by his side.

Due to the current Covid restrictions, private services were held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Bill owned and operated Marseilles Sheet Metal for over 43 years. He was a member of the Illinois Valley Contractors Association, Local 1 Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Board, OSF Hospital Board, and the Knights of Columbus. Bill was also an avid car collector and was very active in the community, supporting groups such as St. Jude's, Shop with a Cop, PADS, and Freezin' for a Reezin.

Memorials may be directed to his family to be dispersed to local charities.
