William "Bill" Hughes, 47, of Utica, IL, died Friday, February 20, 2009 at his home in Utica after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Monday, February 23, 2009 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with theRev. Philip Halfacre officiating. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 -6 pm, Sunday, February 22 at Ottawa Funeral Home. William "Bill" Hughes was born February 10, 1962, in Ottawa, to the late William Hughes and the late Antoinette Pandolfi. He married Lorriane "Kay" Weygand on November 1, 2007 at their home in Utica. He worked at as an automotive Painter at Carlsons for 22 years. He is survived by his wife,Lorriane "Kay" Hughes; 2 sons, Jamie (Jesse) Donovan and David Weygand both of Marseilles; 2 Grandchildren, Michael and Kaylee Donovan; 4 sisters, Julie (Rodney) Bailey of Wedron, Linda (Merle) Walter of McNabb, Mary (Kevin) Calahan of Grandridge and Beth (Craig) Walsh of Ottawa; 3 brothers Pat (Sue, Phil (Betsy), and Jeff Hughes, all of Ottawa; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and his sidekicks, Homer and Frankie. Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Leo, Dan, and a brother in infancy and his parents, Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Michael and Kaylee Donovan, Dan Ostrowski, and Joe Walsh. Memorials may be directed to the family.
