William Hayes

William J. Hayes, 71, of Ottawa passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Saturday, December 10 at the Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Utica. Visitation will be 9-11 am Saturday, prior to the services, at the funeral home.

Bill was born April 30, 1945 in Chicago to Jewel and Eva (Hugunin) Hayes. He married Patricia Ainsley on January 8, 1966 in St. Columba Church in Ottawa. Bill retired from Wedron Silica Sand Company after 43 years.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Brad Hayes of LaSalle; one daughter, Paula Morris of Oglesby; four grandchildren, Justin Goellner, Leah Morris, Jim Hayes, and Joe Hayes; and one sister Edith Collinsgrove of Tinley Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Betty Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Jim Hayes, Joe Hayes, Justin Goellner, Stuart Nagy, Bridger Ainsley, and Quentin Ainsley.
