William Gaffney

William C. Gaffney, 60, of Ottawa passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Parker Nursing Home in Streator.

Memorial Services will be held at 7 pm, Wednesday, June 7 at Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory, with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 pm, prior to services, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles at a later date.

Bill was born June 20, 1956 in Ottawa to Edward J. Gaffney and Phyllis Jeanne Beam. He was an avid fisherman, a bowler, and he loved the Chicago Cubs. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by two children, Brian David Ely of Missouri and Angel Dawn Gaffney of Arizona; three brothers, Michael (Toni) Gaffney of Texas, Randall Dean Gaffney of Alabama, and Robert Allen "Bo" Gaffney of Ottawa; two sisters, Penny (Don) Lieske of Ottawa and Debby (Curt) Allen of Ottawa; his uncle, Clyde (Patricia) Gaffney of Marseilles; several nieces and nephews, and his dogs, Walter and Piglet.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward Gaffney; his mother, Phyllis Morsch; and two step-fathers, Harry Holloway Jr. and Harold Morsch.
