William Earl Fribbs

William "Earl" Fribbs, 82, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Ottawa Pavilion. Cremation rites were accorded. Earl was born April 22, 1929, in Ottawa, Illinois to William and Margurite (Charlier) Fribbs. He married Joan Maierhofer on September 26, 1953 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ottawa. He worked for Libby Owens Ford for 38 years and then worked for the Daily Times. He was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Church and the Knights of Columbus. Earl is survived by his wife, Joan; two sons, Kevin Fribbs and Brian Fribbs, both of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Sarah (Jarrod) Barta and Cory Fribbs; one great-grandson, Xavier Fribbs; and two sisters, Doloris Rossiter and Lucille (Don) Roth, both of Ottawa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
