William Dunn

William F. Dunn, 82, of Seneca passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at Park Point Nursing Home in Morris.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 am Friday, March 10, 2017 at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. His visitation will be 4:00 - 7:00 pm Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. He will be buried in Calvary Cemetery in Seneca with Military Honors.

Bill was born July 2, 1934 in Seneca, Illinois to William P. and Mary Ellen (Cahill) Dunn. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Weapons Infantryman where he received the Good Conduct Medal. He married Beverly Hill June 9, 1956 at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca. He previously worked as a carpenter for Local 193 and he was a sheep farmer since he was in high school. He was in the original FFA chapter for Seneca High School. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church. Bill had a special love for the Chicago Cubs and ice cream.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly; two children, Steve (Stacey) Dunn and Julie (Mike) Malcolm; four grandchildren, Danielle Dunn, Justin Malcolm, Katie Malcolm, and Andrew Dunn; three great grandchildren, Jackson, Cenora, Natalie; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, Joe Dunn, Elwin "Bud" Dunn, and Anna Mae Garrity.
