William "Dave" Calhoun

William "Dave" Calhoun, 69, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

Funeral services, with full military rites, will be held at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, October 26 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:30 pm, prior to the services, at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date.

Dave was born February 25, 1947, in Streator, to William J. and Virginia (Urbance) Calhoun. After serving in the United States Air Force for four years, he married Susan Dille on April 29, 1972 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ottawa. He was a member of the American Legion and St. Columba Church.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, of 44 years; three children, Kelly Webb, Kimberly (Ryan) Calhoun-Hamer, and Karla (Chad) Rowe; and six grandchildren, Zachary, Kira, Finn, Mylah, Maylee, and Makswell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Calhoun, and William (Joie) Calhoun.
