William Clifford Bottoms

William "Buck" Clifford Bottoms, 95, of Streator, formerly of Seneca, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Streator. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 28, 2010 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca with Rev. John Paul Robinson. Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Seneca. William was born May 30, 1914 to Marion and Ida Mae (Goodin) Bottoms in Knifley, Kentucky. He married his first wife, Celia Stapleton in 1932. He then married Geneva Mae "Jean" Munson, November 8, 1945 in LaSalle County. She died November 14, 1998. He is retired from Owens Illinois. He was a former member of the Marseilles Lyons Club. He is survived by two daughters; Sue (Dick) Hochstetler of Tonica, Melody (John) Bottoms of Ottawa; five sons; Bobby (Bernice) of Ottawa, Jerry of Streator, Ed (Diane) of Ottawa, Wayne (Dee) of Seneca, and Steve (Barbara) Bottoms of Ottawa; his companion Vicki Zirkelbach; twenty-six grandchildren; forty-six great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Geneva Bottoms; one son, James "Wilber" Bottoms; a daughter Lillian in infancy; one sister, Mae Webb; four brothers, Robert, Edward, Jackie, and James "Bing Bang" Bottoms; and one granddaughter, Amanda Bottoms. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to the family. There will be a family gathering at the Marseilles Union Hall.
