William Anderson

William Joseph Anderson, 90, of Seneca passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Lightways Hospice in Joliet.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Bill was born September 12, 1934 in Toluca, IL to James and Anna (Jurkanin) Anderson, Sr. He served his country in the US Army. He was employed by Caterpillar in Joliet until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors and kept the North Hill of Seneca beautifully maintained.

Bill and his brother, Richard, were avid bowlers, traveling by car to many places around the US to bowl in tournaments. In his free time, he enjoyed taking his 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible to car shows, and  enjoyed fishing with his brother, Jim.

He is survived by his eleven nieces and nephews, eleven great-nieces and nephews, and seven great-great-nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna; his brothers, James Anderson, Jr. and Richard Anderson; his sisters, Mary Ann Bishop, Marguerite Jordan, and Lucille Schaefer; sister-in-law, JoAnne Anderson; three brothers-in-law, Robert Jordan, Joseph Schaefer, and Robert Bishop; and a nephew, Joseph Anderson.

Memorials may be directed to Lightways Hospice in Joliet.
