Willard Harris

Willard "Bud" Harris, 83, of Ottawa, IL, died, Monday, February 14, 2011 at Ottawa Pavilion. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park with military services. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00PM on Tuesday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Willard was born Friday, July 29, 1927, in Auburn, IL, to the late Willard and Frances (Coppage) Harris. He married Jean Harris on April 28, 1951at St. Mary Church in Naplate; she died June 30, 2007. He retired from LOF Glass Co. in 1987 after 34 years of service. He served in the US Navy in WWII and belongs to the DAV. He is survived by two daughters Sandra (Mark) Quincer of LaSalle, Susan (Dan) DeWalt of Ottawa; four grandchildren Katie Foote, Sarah Quincer, Casey DeWalt, Cory McTaggart. three great granddaughters, Molly & Megan McTaggart and Hailey Foote. One brother Jack (Sue) Harris of Bloomington and one sister Shirley (Bob) Stubelfield of Odell. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Gweney Hoffman. Pallbearers will be Casey & Dan DeWalt, Eric McTaggart, Jeff Foote, Mark Quincer and John Harris. Memorials may be directed to Donors Choice.
