Wayne Wiesbrock

Wayne Wiesbrock, 88, of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Private burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.

Wayne was born August 11, 1936 in Ottawa, IL to Herman and Marian (Zsizsik) Wiesbrock. He married Janice Gamons on May 20, 1961 at St. Mary's Church. He was extremely involved with Marquette School. He took care of the football field, was a charter member of Marquette Go Club, helped with bingo, and just about anything else they needed volunteers for. He was the caretaker of St. Columba Cemetery for 55 years when he retired in 2018. He was a member of St. Columba Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janice; his two daughters, Lisa (Rocco) Campanile and Susan (Richard) Killian; his son, Michael Wiesbrock; his grandchildren, Alexa Campanile, Bianca (Joe) Dellanina, Micaela Campanile, Joshua (Samantha) Killian and Jonathan Killian; as well as one brother, Bob Wiesbrock.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Marian; and two brothers in infancy.

Memorial contributions in Wayne's honor may be directed to Marquette High School.
