Wayne H Anderson

Wayne H. Anderson, 87, of Ottawa, former long time resident of Oakbrook passed away Friday, March 16th, 2012 at Ottawa Pavilion. A memorial service will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road in Elwood at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Wayne was born April 25, 1924 in Berwyn, Illinois to John Evan and Anna (Borgwardt) Anderson. He married Arlene Ruther. He was the Vice President of Anderson Brothers Ford in Berwyn, where he worked for 60 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served in World War II. Wayne was a member of Butterfield Country Club, Past President of the Oakbrook Rotary, and Chicago West District Golf Association. Wayne enjoyed reading, golfing, and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Arlene; two sons, Karl (Wendy) Scheel of Engleside and Jon W.(Sheri) Anderson of Ottawa; two daughters, Evonne Anderson of Oakbrook Terrace and Starr Pitsch of Oakbrook. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert L. Anderson Sr. Memorials may be directed to his family.
