Warren J. Rimstidt

Warren J. Rimstidt, 91, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Pleasant View in Ottawa. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Ward officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Ottawa Funeral Home prior to service. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Warren was born January 31, 1921 in Batesville, Indiana to Joseph and Margaret (Bultman) Rimstidt. He married Frances Fiorini on June 18, 1949 at St. Columba Church. She preceded him in death on June 3, 1986. Warren served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member AARP and Local #19. He is survived by two sons, John (Valerie) Rimstidt of Rochelle and Gary (Tamara) Rimstidt of Ottawa; six grandchildren; Taylor, Rachael, Tessa, Justin, Katie, and Abby Jo Rimstidt; and two great grandchildren, Kyra Rimstidt and Rayce Small. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances; a grandchild, Rebeccah Lynn Rimstidt; sisters, Florine Engel, Elsie Engel and Bertha Miller; and brothers, Herbert "Jim" Rimstidt and Earl Rimstidt. Pallbearers will be Justin, Katie, Taylor, Rachael, Abby Jo, and Tessa Rimstidt, John Pavey, and Chris Olson.
