Vincent Paul Gama

Vincent "Pauly" Gama, 65, of Ottawa, IL passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Rush Presbyterian in Chicago, IL. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday April 23, 2010 at Ottawa Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 Thursday April 22, 2010. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park with Military Services. Pauly was born September 24, 1944 in Peoria, IL to Ruth (Hortega) and Vincent Gama. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War for four years. He retired as the Business Manager of the Laborers Local Union 911. He is survived by his children Paula (Bob) Grady, Paul (Mandi) Gama, Joe (Sheila Brewer) Gama, Christopher Gama and Jamie Gray, all of Ottawa, IL; his mother, Ruth Gama; his brother, Pete Gama of Ottawa; "his girl", Pam Miskell of Ottawa; his former wife, Kay Lynn Gama of Ottawa; six grandchildren, Balie, Krista, and Robert Grady, and Lauren, Rylie, and Drew Gama; one great grandchild, Kayden Kundert; five half brothers, Dave, Frank, Mike, Rick, and Tony Gama, all of Peoria; two half sisters, Rosemary Schol and Sara Rodemick, both of Sparling, IL; and two sister in laws, Bonnie and Gloria Gama. He is preceded in death by his father, and a brother, Louie Gama. Pallbearers will be Paul, Joe, and Rich Gama, Dave Ortiz, Albert "Butchy" Arreguin, and Robert Grady. Honorary Pallbearers will be Benji Jarigese, Christopher, Louie, and Carlos Gama. Memorials may be directed to the family.
