Tommi Leigh Vangelisti, 19, of Marseilles passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. Columba Church with Fr. Corey Krengiel officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 - 6:00 Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 2:45. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.
Tommi was born May 20, 1997 in Ottawa, Illinois to Rodney and Denise (Hazard) Vangelisti. She was a proud 2015 graduate of Ottawa Township High School. She was Luke Bryan's number one fan and enjoyed seeing her man in concert this past August. In 2003 she was able to have her dream come true by visiting Disney World with the generosity of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Tommi was full of life and could light up a room with her infectious laugh and smile. She taught many people what the true meaning of love and understanding is all about.
She is survived by her parents, Rodney and Denise; three siblings, Justin, Nicole, and Cassie Vangelisti; grandparents; Ron and Mary Hazard, Jim and Nita Vangelisti, and Carol and Dick Peddicord; one nephew, Landon Vangelisti; aunts and uncles, Debbie (Dennis) Allen, Diane (Dave) Verona, Darcy (Dan) Rub, Jim (Tausha) Vangelisti, and Jennifer (Steve) Watts; and several cousins.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Megan Lynn; one uncle, Tommy Hazard; one nephew, Baby Lucas; and her special friend, Renae Crum.
Pallbearers will be Cortney Auter, Sara Lambe, Christina Crabbe, Becky Rudnicky, Haley Marmion, Kelley Marmion, Missy Bertolino, Amy Perona, Chris Close, Martha Newkirk, Caroline Hannigan, and Teri Scanlon.
