Thomas "Tom" F. Green, 68, of Seneca, IL, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, August 14, 2014 at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca with Rev. Ray Guthrie officiating. Tom's request was casual dress only. Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home is entrusted with his arrangements. Tom was born May 24, 1946 in Streator, Illinois to Theodore and Agnes (Keeney) Green. He married Diana "Dee" Buckle on March 15, 1989 in Ottawa, Illinois. He retired from Caterpillar after 31 years of service. After retirement he worked for Timmons Farms and helped many people with home improvements. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Seneca. He is survived by his loving wife, Dee; six children, Janet Green of Crest Hill, Karen (Mark) Buckner of Fort Myers, FL., Terri (James) Barry of Lincoln, IL., Mark (Rebecca) Buckle of New Lenox, Traci (David) Buckle of Minneapolis, MN., and Sarah (Lee) Friedman of Skokie; seven grandchildren, Paul and Megan Barry, Shani, Noa, and Natan Friedman, Jack and Max Buckle; one brother, Joseph (JoAnn) Green of Morris; three sisters, Louise (William) Kloepping of Pearl City, Alice (Bill) Fiedler of San Antonio, TX., and Dorothy (Jim) Fiedler of Seneca; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Hauge, Wanda and Ed Williams, and Dean Glenn. In lieu of flowers Tom requested that memorials be directed to St. Patrick's Church in Seneca Capitol Improvements for bell tower, Seneca Ambulance, Seneca Food Pantry, or Vitas Hospice.
