Timothy "Tim" Helffrich

Timothy "Tim" Helffrich, 58, of Ottawa, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at his home.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will follow at 6:00pm.

Tim was born April 5, 1966, in Ottawa, IL, to Austin and Therese (Burke) Helffrich.

Tim worked at Farm & Fleet for many years. When he wasn't working, he was always helping his friends and neighbors cleaning out their basements or collecting scrap. He was kind and thoughtful and was always willing to help. He was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed taking late night rides on his motorcycle; liked cars and driving around with his dog, Gracie; and always had his pint of ice cream and a can of coke.

He is survived by daughter, Lindsay (CJ) Lyon; his grandchildren, Payton, Ryleigh, and Makenna Lyon; his siblings, Debra Alsvig-Einhaus and Aunnie Helffrich; his nephews, Curt and David Alsvig; and his bonus daughter, Kayla Corcoran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Therese; his granddaughter, Ellah Lyon; and his brother in law, Terry Einhaus.
