Timothy J. Farrell

Timothy J. Farrell, 57, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013, at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at St. Patrick Church, with Rev. Jules Adator officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013, at Ottawa Funeral Home with prayers at 3:45 p.m. with the Knights of Columbus in attendance. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery. Tim was born August 2, 1955, in Ottawa, Illinois, to Willis and Marjorie (Locke) Farrell. He married Kathleen Aubry on December 15, 1973, at St. Mary's Church in Utica. He worked for Nicor Gas Company for 31 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Knights of Columbus. He coached basketball at St. Patrick School for 21 years. He umpired little league, pony league, and high school baseball in the Ottawa and Grand Ridge areas for many years. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; his mother, Marge Farrell of Ottawa; his mother and father-in-law Margaret and Harold Aubry of Utica; his children, Brian (Becky) Farrell of Ottawa, Jennifer Farrell of Tampa, FL, and Melanie (Louis) Lukacsy of Algonquin; two grandchildren, Austin and Aubry Farrell; four brothers, Michael (Camilla) Farrell of Grand Ridge, Terry (Peg) Farrell of Ottawa, Richard (Connie) Farrell of Celebration, FL, and Bill (Rhonda) Farrell of Swansea, IL; his brother and sister-in-laws, Mary (Doug) Holland of Oglesby, David (Sheryl) Aubry of Oswego, Steve (Carol) Aubry of Marseilles, Joan (Dale) Graham of Utica, Dan (Darci) Aubry of Utica, Paul (Chris) Aubry of Ottawa, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis. Pallbearers will be Austin Farrell, Ryan Farrell, Mick Farrell, Jacob Aubry, Brandon Aubry, Jon Aubry, and Nathan Holland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Farrell, Joe Farrell, Tracy Kirby, Meagan Daoust, Dan Farrell, Trevor Farrell, Rachel Farrell, Amanda Carter, Megan Diss, Cassie Aubry, Michael Holland, Lauren Aubry, Madison Aubry, Hannah Graham, Julie Graham, Olivia Graham, Breann Aubry, Stephanie Howze, and Keagan Klein. Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick Church or Marquette Academy.
